Forged in Code
This site has been rebuilt from the ground up.
The previous version ran on Jekyll with Bootstrap 3 and jQuery — a solid setup when I first put it together, but one that had quietly rusted over the years. Broken widgets, stale content, a design that no longer reflected the kind of work I do. It was time for something new.
The Stack
I chose Astro for the rebuild. Static output, zero client-side JavaScript by default, content collections with type safety — it fits the way I think about software. Pair it with Tailwind CSS 4 and a monospace font, and you get a site that loads fast and stays out of the way.
The design leans into an industrial aesthetic I’m calling Forge. Warm copper tones, clean typography, no noise. Tools should look like tools.
What’s Next
I plan to write here about things I run into at work and in side projects — distributed systems on Azure, clean architecture patterns, Kubernetes in practice, and the engineering decisions that don’t make it into pull request descriptions.
If you want to get in touch, the contact section has everything you need.
Let’s build something.
